Rapid is seeking reliable, motivated trade-qualified carpenters or apprentice carpenters as well as labourers to join our teams delivering high-demand work for our major clients in the transport sector. For the second half of 2017 and beyond, we have a solid run of multiple work streams on Sydney Trains projects, many of which will involve weekend and night-time possessions. Experience in the Sydney Trains and/or similar transport sector environments is preferred, alongside possession of a valid “RIW” Rail Industry Worker card. You must also have your SafeWork NSW General Induction card – “Whitecard” – or state equivalent, and a full unrestricted driver’s license. Ideally you will have your own reliable transport, be capable of driving manual vehicles and possess your own carpentry tools and equipment. You also need to be able to communicate in English and understand safety instructions delivered in English by our site supervisors, Protection Officers and Sydney Trains personnel. Seeking a Contracts Administrator!
Rapid is seeking an energetic Contract Administrator to join our Trains Team delivering work for our long-term client Sydney Trains. Salary negotiable dependent upon qualifications and experience with an indicative starting point of $60k + super + vehicle allowance. Possession of General Induction for Construction (“WhiteCard”) essential. Essential attributes include Project/contract administration experience, excellent spoken and written communication skills, a good command of the English language, advanced computer literacy in Windows, Project, Outlook, Word & Excel; ability to lead, motivate and inspire in-house and subcontracting teams, familiarity with BCA, Australian Standards and Quality, WHS & Environmental requirements. Desirable attributes include: Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card, minimum 5 years industry experience, solid exposure and familiarity with Rail/transport environments and a solid understanding of the Contract Administration process.
